Dear Parents/Guardians,

Conferences-

I hope you received and read the email blast on conferences that was sent out earlier today. It lays out how conferences are going to be run next week.

Next week Thursday and Friday are half days-

We will have half days on Thursday, November 11th and Friday, (1st -3rd hours) & November 12th (4th-6th hours). Dismissal will be 11:00 AM. Please have rides here no later than 11:15 AM.

Honoring Our Veterans-

Veterans Day on November 11th honors military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. The federal holiday coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which marks World War I. These observances reflect the end of significant hostilities at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany took effect. Initially, the United States observed Armistice Day as well. However, it evolved into the current Veterans Day in 1954.

Extended Absence Form -

Just a reminder that if your child will be missing 3 or more days due to a vacation or a planned absence, please have your daughter/son stop in the office to pick up an Extended Absence Form several days before the absence begins. The form must be filled out by your child's teachers and then signed by the student, parent, and an administrator.

Blue Out-

Tonight's football game is being played at Lakeshore High School and begins at 7:00 PM. It is a blue out game, so we are asking all fans to wear SJ gear that is blue.

Late Start Next Wednesday, November 10th-

The district will have a late start next Wednesday, November 10th. School will begin at 8:45 AM. Doors open at 8:15 AM and breakfast is available at that time.

This Sunday, November 7th is daylight savings time. Please "fall back" one hour.
