Tomorrow at the John & Dede Howard Auditorium at SJHS at 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM will be Shrek Jr. The students have worked hard and are excited to present their shows!
Salmon in the Classroom-
This week our 8th grade released the salmon they’ve been raising in the classrooms since November. They then spent the rest of the day completing a stream assessment to prove that Mill Creek is a healthy location for their release. A great learning opportunity!
Dance Next Week...Chaperones Needed -
Chaperones are needed for the all school dance on Friday, May 12th. Please email uptonmiddlepto@gmail.com if you are interested in chaperoning. Thank you in advance for your help!
All grades are invited on Friday from 5pm - 7pm for the All School Dance. This will be located in the Blue Gym at Upton. ONLY Upton students are allowed to attend. $4 to enter and snacks are available to purchase.

Upton Bears Credit Union-
Congratulations to Ava Kelley and Gabriel King, the April winners of Upton Bears Student Credit Union, a student-led program affiliated with Honor Credit Union. We had 2 monthly drawing winners in April to celebrate “Youth Month”! Upton Bears Student CU is open every Tuesday during all lunch periods, outside the cafeteria and offers great student incentives to promote regular saving habits to Start Small and Save Big! To help kick start those habits, all new members will receive $15 if they open their membership with at least $1! To open an account for the student(s) in your life, membership forms can be downloaded here or picked up in the school office. All existing members will receive $5 for making their first deposit at Upton Bears SCU. To encourage establishing a regular savings habit, there is a prize box where students can choose a prize with every deposit they make. All deposits are entered into a monthly drawing to win a gift basket with a $25 gift card. And, for a grand prize every deposit is also entered into the annual drawing for either an iPad Mini or a $250 deposit into their savings account at the end of the year! Parent Workshop Opportunity-
Parents, this is a free parent training (but applicable to any adult that deals with children) regarding suicide awareness and prevention. It is important information as you interact with your own child, but also their friends. Attendance is limited so please sign up if you would like to participate.

Wednesday is a late start. School begins at 8:45am. Doors open at 8:15am.
