BALANCE is our theme for MAY
Part of finding or maintaining balance is taking time for yourself amidst the business of the end of the school year (even if it’s just a couple minutes). Remember to do things like take a quick break, enjoy nature, breathe, etc… Here are some helpful resources:

Please continue to encourage your HS student to check their grade level google classroom and the bulletin board outside the guidance office for current job postings. If you have job opportunities we can share, please reach out so we can get your information to our students!
At Upton and the HS we are finishing up standardized testing (M-Step, NWEA, and Advanced Placement). Kudos to our students for their hard work and perseverance!

Extra Yearbooks -
There are still lots of yearbooks available to purchase.
There are 3 ways to purchase a Yearbook:
(1) Send $45 cash or check to the Upton office and fill out a brief form so I know who purchased it and where to deliver it. - (the book is regularly $48 at this time but I can still accept the $45 price from before the last increase)
(2) Pay $48 online through the SJPS RevTrak system. (I think the Upton Website has info - this is the regular price of $48)
(3) Order one through the YOC (Yearbook Order Center) this way also has the regular $48 price. YOC link: https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/?event=general.displayLanding&jobnumber=40020
Thanks for supporting the 2021 Yearbook!

Memorial Day, NO School-
No School on Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day.
Enjoy your holiday weekend!
Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season.
