Dear Upton Middle School Families,

8th grade Farewell Tonight -

The Farewell Ceremony will begin at 6:30PM at the John & Dede Howard Auditorium at the St Joseph High School.

Students must arrive by 6:10PM.

Dress code for the farewell and dance is dressy attire.
The dance is free and refreshments are free.

NO t-shirts, shorts, ripped jeans/cut offs, or crop tops*
Students are allowed to take photos/videos of themselves and others, only if permission is granted by the other student/s.
Please be considerate of others' privacy and share only photos/videos of yourself and your students
Buses will transport the students to Upton from the High School, once the Farewell Ceremony ends.
The dance ends promptly at 10:00 PM. Please have all rides scheduled to pick up at Upton by 10:00 PM.
Dates are not encouraged to the dance. This dance is to have fun with fellow students and to celebrate our 8th graders heading off to High School. This is the last time they will have a class of 2027 only gathering until their Senior Dinner Dance
The dance is ONLY for Upton 8th graders.

Laptop and Charger Turn-In -

Students will turn in their laptops and chargers next Friday, June 9th. If they laptop and charger are not turned in a fee will be billed to your household. Thanks in advance for your help in reminding your son/daughter!

Library Books are Due -

Library books were due this past Wednesday, May 31st. Please encourage your daughter/son to turn them if you see them around the house.📚📚

Summer Soccer Opportunity-

Upton Middle School soccer club will offer open field on Thursdays this summer from 3-4pm with the exception of July 6th. Open field is an opportunity to come out to the field and play soccer with your peers. Please join our REMIND by texting 81010 and putting @of2223 in the body to get Open field information and updates. Looking forward to seeing both boys and girls players enjoying soccer this summer! Honor Credit Union May Winner-

Congratulations to Colin Kirkdorfer, the May winner of Upton Bears Student Credit Union, a student-led program affiliated with Honor Credit Union. Upton Bears Student CU will be open again in the fall every Tuesday during all lunch periods, outside the cafeteria and offers great student incentives to promote regular saving habits to Start Small and Save Big! To help kick start those habits, all new members will receive $15 if they open their membership with at least $1! To open an account for the student(s) in your life, membership forms can be downloaded here or picked up in the school office. All existing members will receive $5 for making their first deposit at Upton Bears SCU. To encourage establishing a regular savings habit, there is a prize box where students can choose a prize with every deposit they make. All deposits are entered into a monthly drawing to win a gift basket with a $25 gift card. And, for a grand prize every deposit is also entered into the annual drawing for either an iPad Mini or a $250 deposit into their savings account at the end of the year!
