Monday, January 16 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day - No School For Students

The third Monday in January marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a U.S. holiday that honors King's legacy and challenges citizens to engage in volunteer service in their communities. The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration was officially recognized in 1983.

Variety Show Auditions -

Auditions will be January 17th & 18th from 2:45-4:15 in the Upton Auditorium. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Vlietstra at cvlietstra@sjschools.org.

Upton Ski & Snowboard Club -

Our 1st Ski/Snowboard Club will take place on Monday, January 23. If your daughter/son has questions, please have them see Mr. Brown.

Half Days in January -

January 25th, 26th and 27th are half days for Upton and the High School for mid-terms. Upton dismisses each day at 11:00. See the schedules below for when each class meets:

Upton Spelling Bee -

The Upton Spelling Bee will be Tuesday, January 17, 3-5pm. The students in the Upton Spelling Club will put all their hard work into play for Step one on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. This step will use words from Scripps National Bee to provide competition amongst club members to determine our top 3 Upton Middle School Spellers. Step two will take the top 3 Upton Spellers to the Cloverleaf Spelling Bee on February 22, 2023, at Lake Michigan College where they will compete against all registered schools from Berrien County in grades 3-8. Best of luck to our Spelling Club Members!

The cookbook features full-color student artwork on the cover and section tabs, as well as a recipe index. Stop by the Upton Office to purchase a cookbook for $20.

Michigan State Men's Volleyball Clinic's & Volleyball Match with Notre Dame @ St. Joe High School. Saturday, February 11, 2023.

10:00 am - 12:00 pm Adults, Also Middle School & High School Boys
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm Grades 7 -12, Girls
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Grades K - 6, Boys and Girls

Clinic Cost is $35.00 if registered by January 26th

After January 26th, the cost is $45.00 per person.

T-shirt cut off:

Full registration must be received by January 27th, 2023 to guarantee a free t-shirt. After January 27, you will not get a shirt.
